Gorell Windows and Doors Marks 15th Year in Business

Indiana, PA, April 24, 2009—Gorell Windows & Doors is marking its 15th year in business as a manufacturer of premium vinyl replacement and new-construction windows and vinyl patio doors. The company has experienced solid, sustainable growth throughout its history and, despite the current downturn in the home-improvement industry, remains successful.

Gorell Windows & Doors was started in 1994 when it began operations with a workforce of about 50 associates and two product lines. The company now employs approximately 360 associates and has added hundreds of products and options over 15 years. Gorell is known for its philosophy of "nimble" continuous improvement to enhance its processes and products to ensure growth and success, which in turn results in new jobs in Indiana County. It has undertaken a number of innovative initiatives designed to keep Gorell Windows & Doors one of the pre-eminent window manufacturers in the country. For example, in 2008 Gorell introduced its "PRIDE" program, which empowers employees to offer and execute ideas that improve their jobs and work processes.
